Sotheby’s International Realty, a luxury real estate brand launched by the Sotheby’s Auction House, officially entered the Romanian market on July 28, through a partnership with Artmark Historical Estate.

The partnership will help promote historical and luxury real estate properties in Romania to international investors.

Artmark Historical Estate was launched in 2014 following an association between Artmark, the biggest local auction house, and Constantin Prisecaru, its current Managing Partner.

The company currently has over 250 properties in its portfolio and a team of six specialized brokers led by CEO Monica Barbu, who has 23 years of experience in the real estate market.

Founded in 1744, Sotheby’s is the oldest global art company. Sotheby’s International Realty was launched in 1976 and operates in over 72 countries worldwide. In 2019, it brokered sales of USD 114 billion.
