Bucharest’s Old Town is an interesting combination of new and old, with posh (still) living side by side with derelict. It is the heart of the city’s night life, and a more and more preferred destination for tourists.

Businesses open and close at fast speed in this region of Bucharest, with some long lasting brands, while others appear - or disappear almost over night.

The Old Town is home to a large array of bars, restaurants and clubs, and to an already increasing number of retail shops. It hosts beautifully renovated old buildings, as well as 'work in progress' buildings, and derelict houses, some of which still occupied.

Romania-Insider.com walked the Old Town streets to show the ups and downs of this part of Central Bucharest.
