Hospitality group Accor announced that it would further strengthen its portfolio in Romania with a new hotel to be opened in Cozieni, Ilfov county, not far from Bucharest.

The Group has signed a management agreement with Next Hospitality S.R.L. for a new Mercure hotel and MICE in Cozieni, which will integrate the old mansion there. The 75-room facility is set to welcome the first guests in the third quarter of 2022, following refurbishment and development works.

Mercure Conacul Cozieni Retreat Resort and MICE will offer 75 rooms and suites, a restaurant and a bar, a hall for events in the old mansion, and a conference meeting venue. The project also includes an outdoor playground, relaxing areas, and outdoor parking.

The hotel is located 19 km away from Bucharest, near Cernica Lake, Pasarea Monastery, and Pustnicu forest.
