With the impending euthanazia of stray dogs in Romania still a hot issue here and abroad, many readers would like to adopt dogs and save them from what they believe to be an abominable killing.

The Parliament recently passed a law permitting stray dogs in shelters that are not adopted after 14 days to be killed.

Some of our readers asked us to put together a list of dog shelters in Bucharest and ways to adopt a stray dog, so here it is. However, in some shelters, adoptions have been stopped, citing the lack of information on whether the euthanasia law will be enforced or not.
