“Age of King Ferdinand I - return of Bulgaria in Europe” exhibition on display at history museum
The Romanian National History Museum currently hosts the exhibition "Age of King Ferdinand I - return of Bulgaria in Europe," dedicated to the celebration of 100 years since the signing of Bulgarian Declaration of Independence. The exhibition will end on February 6.
The gallery of works has been touring several countries in Europe and America and contains photographs and documents related to the rule of King Ferdinand I (1887-1918), to Bulgarian history, cultural development, science, commerce, architecture, communications and infrastructure.
During his reign, Ferdinand of Bulgaria has managed to transform a poor country into a modern one. He was a great sovereign, considered the founder of modern Bulgaria but also an author, botanist, entomologist and philatelist.
