ALB Romania’s members grant consumer loans worth EUR 469 mln in 2011

Members of the Leasing and Non-Banking Financial Services Association - ALB Romania - granted consumer loans worth some EUR 469 million in 2011, up 15 percent over the previous year, when the total volume of granted consumer loans was EUR 406 million.

Around 93 percent of the total amount represented loans for personal use - EUR 438 million, 4 percent were industrial loans - EUR 16 million, and 3 percent auto loans - some EUR 15 million.

Personal loans had a rate of 52 percent of the total loans for personal use, while revolving loans (including credit cards) had a share of 29 percent of the total. The rest of 19 percent was represented by loans at POS.

From the total auto loans, 97 percent were for the purchase of new vehicles, and just 3 percent for the purchase of used cars.

On loans value, 52 percent of the total were loans with values between 0 and EUR 1,000, 22 percent between EUR 1,000 and EUR 5,000, 11 percent between 5,000 and 10,000, and 15 percent had values over EUR 10,000.
