Almost half of big companies’ staff perceive generalized corruption in Romania
Almost 4 out of 10 employees in Romania’s big companies consider corruption a generalized phenomenon. They believe that corruption practices extend to the local business environment.
However, the level is lower than in Eastern Europe, where it reaches 63%, according to the "Fraud Survey" EY study.
Managers of companies that are still growing can be tempted to take risks related to bribery to accelerate the short term growth, according to respondents.
Over half - 58% - of the respondents said that companies have initiated anti-corruption programs.
