Alternative promotion for Bucharest: event brings international travel bloggers to the capital

10 May 2017

The Romanian capital might get a new promotional boost as top international travel bloggers are expected to attend the Experience Bucharest event, taking place between May 12 and May 16.

Some 200 travel influencers should be present at the event, which was put together in a project worth EUR 150,000, according to initiator Tudor Maxim, the founder of the Pura Vida Hostels Chain. The budget is meant to cover the expenses for the 200 participants who come to discover Bucharest and later promote it through their own channels, and for organizing a marketing and travel conference for 400 participants, Wall-street.ro reported.

The conference How to promote the capital of Romania takes place at Radisson Blu hotel in Bucharest on May 12, aims to help travel content creators, travel bloggers, social media specialists, marketing experts, and tourism professionals find new ways of promoting Bucharest through a know-how exchange with the international bloggers invited to this event.

Some of the guests at the Experience Bucharest event include Siya Zarrabi and Kristen Sarah of the Hopscotch the Globe blog, adventure couple Dave and Debbie from Planet D, travel blogger and social media influencer Alyssa Ramos, Altug Galip, Kate McCulley, and photographer Kenan Hurdeniz.

Further details on the program of the event and the speakers can be found here.
