Amazon to create thousands of jobs in Europe, including Romania
Amazon will expand to Europe this year, and will create thousands of jobs, including in Romania, according to AFP. Some 2,500 of these jobs will be in Great Britain.
The company wants to expand its European network but also focus on the research & development activities in the European Union.
In 2015, Amazon set up 10,000 jobs in Europe, in the largest recruitment in the company’s history.
The company is witnessing higher demand from the European customers, which brings a lot of opportunities for Amazon in Europe, said Xavier Garambois, vice president of Amazon EU Retail.
In Romania, Amazon established a research & development center in Iasi in 2005. The center had some 335 employees at the end of 2015.
