Romania celebrates the Rusaliile (Pentecost) holiday on Sunday (May 31) and Monday (June 1) this year, so Romanians benefit from another mini-break, soon after the May 1 one.

Some 50,000 Romanians are expected to go on holiday in this period, especially at seaside resorts in Romania and Bulgaria, according to Paralela 45 tour travel agency. The number is higher than in 2014 – 40,000.

“Romanians will take advantage of the long weekend and the hotel rates that are 30% lower than in high-season,” said Alin Burcea, president Paralela 45.

Romanians mainly targeted Paralela 45’s offers for three-night stays in the period between May 29 and June 1. Prices start at RON 102 (some EUR 23) per person for a 3-night stay in a standard double room at the Romanian seaside, and EUR 26 per person for a 3-night all-inclusive stay in a double room at the Bulgarian seaside.
