Almost seventy galleries and alternative art spaces will stay open until 4am this Friday (May 23) as part of the "White Night of Galleries" event in Bucharest.

The event comes after the successful Night of Museums, which saw the capital's museums open their doors until the early hours last weekend, attracting thousands of visitors.

A total of 38 art galleries and over 30 alternative spaces will stay open Friday night between 19,00 and 04,00.

Some of the galleries that joined this year’s edition of the event are: 418 Contemporary Art Gallery, Aiurart Contemporary Art Space, Art Yourself Gallery, Atelier 35, Galateca Gallery, Williams Galleries, Victoria Art Center and Imbold Gallery. Also, alternative spaces such as Art on Display, Art Safari, Atelierul de Productie and Carol 35, will stay open for the public on the night of May 23.
