Apartment prices in Romania see third-highest growth in EU
Apartment prices in Romania went up by 3.3% in the first quarter of this year compared to the previous quarter. It was the third-highest growth recorded among EU member states, according to EU’s statistical office Eurostat.
By comparison, apartment prices increased by 0.7% in the EU and by 0.4% in the euro zone. The highest growth was recorded in Hungary, up 5.2%, followed by Austria, up 4.2%, and Romania.
Cyprus saw the most significant drop in the apartment prices, -3.4%, followed by Malta, -2.8%.
In Romania, the apartment prices grew by 2.6% in the first three months of the year compared to the same period last year. The advance amounted to 4% in the EU and 3% in the euro zone.
