Arabian investors eye projects of minimum USD 20 mln in Romania
Investors from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Oman, Kuweit and Qatar are interested in placing their money in Romania in sectors like agriculture, infrastructure and the financial sector, with a budget of minimum USD 20 million per project, according to Forum Invest, which will organize a business forum in this topic in Bucharest.
One of these investors is Hassad Food, the agricultural investment fund of the Qatar Investment Authority, that wants to develop a partnership on the agricultural segment in Romania, according to an article by Ziarul Financiar.
"Investors from the Gulf states have expressed their intention to identify feasible investment projects in Romania, of minimum USD 20 million, in areas like agriculture, natural resources, infrastructure, banks & finances, IT&C, health & pharma industry, education and research, railways, electricity networks, small medium enterprises and others,” according to Forum Invest.
