Army, Gendarmerie & Intelligence Service, among most trusted institutions in Romania
Over 67% of Romanians trust the Army, 58.3% the Gendarmerie and 50.3% the Romanian Intelligence Service SRI, according to an INSCOP survey.
Almost 49% of respondents trust the National Anticorruption Department DNA, 47.6% trust the Police and a similar percentage trust the Central Bank BNR.
Among the political institutions, the rates of confidence in September are: City Halls – 41.6%, the Constitutional Court – 29.7%, county councils – 28%, the government – 27.6%, the presidency – 18.3%, the parliament – 15.6%, political parties – 10.8%.
The Church still leads the top of social and private institutions, with a rate of confidence of 63.4%, followed by Universities – 41.7% and the media – 35.3%. When it comes to international institutions, most of Romanians trust NATO – 51.3%, the UN – 51.1% and the EU – 46%.
