09 May 2016

The third edition of Art Safari Bucharest, which is currently ongoing at the Dacia-Romania Palace in downtown Bucharest, brings together over 70 museum and art galleries from Romania and abroad. The organizers expect more than 35,000 visitors.

More than 16 Romanian museums are present in the art fair’s main exhibition, which is dedicated to the DaDa movement Centenary. Moreover, the visitors can admire a total of 21 private collections, including five private collections that have never been exhibited before.

Some of the museum works are part of the National Cultural Heritage Thesaurus, and one work’s value can go over EUR 400,000. The art lovers can also enjoy the 5,000 artworks exhibited by the 60 local and foreign galleries, as well as an artwork signed by Romanian sculptor Constantin Brancusi, brought to the event by the University of Bucharest.

The event’s program also includes 37 conferences, book launches, concerts and theater plays. The parents can take their children to the Art Safari Kids, which organizes daily activities for the little ones.

Art Safari, the largest art exhibition in Romania, will stay open until May 15. A one-day ticket to the event costs RON 50 (some EUR 11) for adults and RON 30 (EUR 6.7) for children aged under 12, students, and pensioners.
