Bucharest events: Second Art Safari exhibition season this year to kick off end-June

The second 2023 season of Art Safari, one of the biggest art events in Romania, will debut on June 30 with a new major international collaboration with The National Portrait Gallery, London, the organizers announced.

Tickets for the event, which will await visitors until September 10, can already be purchased online.

The summer season marks Art Safari’s 12th edition. It will feature “Love Stories,” a National Portrait Gallery exhibition of portraits of the most famous couples, as well as events bringing the works of Romanian artists Constantin Artachino and Ion Alin Gheorghiu into the spotlight.

Art Safari welcomed roughly 53,000 visitors at the 11th edition, which included an infinity room, impressionist painting from Spain, installations made by the winners of the prestigious Prix Marcel Duchamp, a large exhibition dedicated to the master Ion Theodorescu-Sion, as well as an exhibition of Romanian supercontemporary art - Young Blood 2.0.
