Austrian Bilfinger Berger Baugesellschaft revamps two bridges in Romania for EUR 12.6 mln
Austrian company Bilfinger Berger Baugesellschaft has signed a EUR 12.6 million contract with the Romanian Roads Company CNADNR to revamp the Giurgeni and Agigea bridges. The Giurgeni bridge revamping contract, worth EUR 8.8 million (excluding VAT), is more than half covered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the rest coming from the Romanian Government.
The second contract, to revamp the Agigea bridge, is worth EUR 3.8 million (excluding VAT) and is financed on a similar scheme as the Giurgeni one. The two projects should be finalized in 24 months, according to the contract.
In Romania, Bilfinger Berger Baugesellschaft has also worked on revamping the Predeal – Campina railway line, a contract with the Romanian Railways Company (CFR). The Austrian company has won this contract in partnership with two other companies, F. Kassecker GmbH and Waldsassen.
