Autovit.ro: Volkswagen, BMW and Audi are the most searched cars by Romanians in early-2012

Volkswagen, BMW, and Audi were the cars most searched by Romanians in early-2012, according to a analysis conducted by online car classifieds website Autovit.ro.  Around 21 percent of the Romanians that looked for a car between January and March, 2012, have chosen a Volkswagen, 18 percent - a BMW, and 15 percent - Audi. The top ten most searched cars by Romanians is completed by Opel, Mercedes - Benz, Ford, Dacia, Skoda, Renault, and Peugeot.

In terms of cars models, Volkswagen Golf was the leader with 7 percent of the total searches, and the second place is taken by Audi A4 - with 6.5 percent, followed by Volkswagen Passat - with 6 percent. The fourth place is occupied by Opel Astra, followed by Audi A6, Skoda Octavia, Ford Focus, Dacia Logan, 3 series cars, and Opel Corsa.

In early-2012, the most searched Japanese cars searched by Romanians were Toyota - 3 percent of the total searches, Mitsubishi - 2.7 percent, and Nissan - 2.6 percent, while the most Japanese car models were Mitsubishy Pajero, Toyota Land Cruiser, and Toyota RAV-4.

The Autovit.ro analysis was performed between January and March, 2012, on a total of 7 million unique searches on the website.
