Romanian producer presents new fertilizer after EUR 85 mln investments
Azomures, the biggest fertilizer producer in Romania, which is part of Swiss group Ameropa, launched a new type of fertilizer, granular urea, after investing EUR 85 million in its urea plant.
Azomures is now the only producer in Romania and South-Eastern Europe that makes this type of fertilizer, local Agerpres reported.
Granular urea has the highest nitrogen content of all chemical fertilizers – 46%. It also limits the losses due to nitrogen evaporation into the atmosphere, especially in draught conditions.
Azomures produces some 90% of the urea used in Romania, according to the company’s representatives. Much of its production also goes to export.
