Baby product supermarket in Bucharest expects sales of EUR 900,000 per month
The new baby product supermarket Bebe Tei, which recently opened in Bucharest’s Sun Plaza shopping center, has about 1,000 customers daily and expects sales of EUR 900,000 monthly, said Irina Ciubotaru, one of the owners, cited by local Wall-street.ro. The investment in the store reached EUR 900,000.
The unit, which was opened on August 5, posted sales of some EUR 610,000 that same month. The average value of purchases amounts to about EUR 22.5 per client.
The owners, who also control the drug store Farmacia Tei, the biggest stand-alone pharmacy in Bucharest, have another baby store in the Bulevardul Tei area. This has about 500 customers daily, but the average value of purchases reaches over EUR 36 per person. The store’s turnover amounted to EUR 5 million last year.
The two stores could generate a turnover of EUR 10 million this year.
