Bad loans ratio slightly down in Romania in January
The non-performing loans ratio in Romania reached 13.57% in January, down 0.04 percentage points compared to the end of 2015.
Compared to December 2014, the ratio dropped by 7.14 percentage points.
The bad loans include loans which are more than 90 days overdue.
The number of individuals with overdue payments on their loans older than 30 days rose to almost 714,000 in January this year, up by 9,700 compared to December 2015. An even higher number was recorded in September last year, when the number of debtors amounted to 716,000.
The overdue debts totaled EUR 2.4 billion in January, almost half of which were in euro.
