BaLaKo brings jazz to Bucharest stage this summer
New jazz project BaLaKo will perform in Bucharest this summer. The band will play at Mall Promenada in Bucharest, on July 7. Andi Moisescu will be the event’s host and the entrance at the event is free.
BaLaKo made its debut on the stage of one of the most renowned festivals in the world, the Montreux Jazz Festival, in 2013. It performs a blend of classic jazz, combined with traditional sounds of the Balkan folklore and Latin influences. This summer, the group will also play at the North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam and at Sziget Festival in Budapest.
BaLaKo consists of Valentin Andrei Zachar - Zach (saxophone), Marius Cristian Ciupitu - Ciupi (drums), Antonio Segui Rolando - Tony (trombone),Omar Secada Dihigo (piano), Alexander Himely Benavides - Nino (congas), joined on stage by Sebastian Yoo (bass), Leonard Vasile (accordion) and Sebastian Burneci (trumpet).
