The Council of Banking Employers in Romania (CPBR) has appointed Oana Petrescu as executive director.

Petrescu is currently a consultant partner with Deloitte Romania and was previously vice-president of the Executive Committee of Romanian lender BCR between 2006 and 2012.

She has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Romanian Banking Association (ARB) since 2009.

Oana Petrescu graduated from the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies and the Universite des Sciences Sociales Toulouse, with a specialization in Finance and Banking.

CPBR is the employers' organization within the country's banking sector. It has six top ten banks among its members, which control more than 50% of the banking assets in Romania.
