Insurer BCR Asigurari Vienna Insurance Group (VIG) posted a volume of gross subscribed premiums last year similarly to the previous year and hopes for a slight increase for 2011.  In 2009, the insurer's revenues from subscribed premiums were of around EUR 138 million. The insurance company launched the Casco Plus insurance policy in July last year and sold 4,150 units by the end of December last year, worth EUR 2.5 million. It hopes to sign 10,000 Casco Plus policies this year, according to Sergiu Loghin, member in the BCR Asigurari directorate.
