Insurer BCR Asigurari’s gross profit went up by 54 percent in the first nine months of 2011 compared to the same period last year, reaching EUR 2.6 million. The company’s subscribed premiums also grew by 1 percent, to about EUR 82 million.

The Casco insurance subscribed premiums increased by 24 percent in the first three quarters, to EUR 38.7 million, while the property insurance segment increased by 17 percent in the first nine months. The total value of compensation paid out in the first nine months of the year decreased by 9.3 percent compared to the same period last year, to EUR 54.6 million.

BCR Asigurari is a member of Vienna Insurance Group. The group also owns BCR Asigurari de Viata, Omniasig and Asirom on the Romanian insurance market.
