Top Romanian bank invests in cashless units

BCR, the biggest bank in Romania by assets, will invest EUR 50 million in the next two years in modernizing its network of units throughout the country. The bank aims to increase the number of cashless units from 41 to 125 by the end of this year.

BCR inaugurated 28 new cashless units at the beginning of this year and currently has 41 such units. The bank will also open seven new financial dialogue centers and modernize another 58 units this year.

“Modernizing the unit network is an essential component of our retail strategy,” said Dana Demetrian, BCR’s vice president in charge with Retail&Private Banking.

BCR has a network of 514 retail units and over 2,500 automated machines for cash withdrawal and payments in Romania.
