BCR Leasing forecasts 15% growth on the Romanian leasing market in 2011

The Romanian leasing market will grow by about 15 percent this year, from a level of EUR 1.12 billion in 2010, considering that some projects will start in segments like infrastructure, environment, tourism and agriculture, according to the general manager of BCR Leasing, Bogdan Speteanu quoted by the Romanian media.

The auto leasing market will also increase, Bogdan Speteanu estimating an improvement in this area and an increase in the amount of funding in 2011. The head of BCR Leasing also mentioned that the car purchases last year was affected by the small demand, increased VAT and the consumers' preference for second-hand vehicles.

The Romanian leasing market fell by 14 percent last year, reaching a value of EUR 1.12 billion, due to falling business on all segments. On the auto financing segment, business dropped by 12 percent to EUR 712 million.
