Be Igloo separates from Romania Invest fund, becomes stand-alone real estate marketing and sales agency

09 March 2011

Be Igloo, the marketing and sales brand of Norwegian investment fund Romania Invest, has separated from the fund and became a stand-alone PR, marketing and sales firm for real estate projects, the company has announced.  The company is now owned and managed by Nimrod Zvik and Loredana Albu (in picture). The two have together created the BeIgloo brand, while still under the Romania Invest umbrella. The value of the transaction between the fund and the new owners was not disclosed.

Be Igloo's portfolio includes seven real estate compounds owned by Romania Invest and the Green Hills compound in Piatra Neamt, developed by Aura Investments. The company is currently negotiating to represent five other residential compounds in Bucharest.

The brand was created based on the needs of the Norwegian investment fund, which owns housing projects in Romania and which needed to sell those.

“We have been discussing the possibility of this takeover ever since mid-2010. We have realized that Romania Invest, by definition, has a limited lifetime span, and what has been created around the Be Igloo brand deserves to live forever. […] Romania Invest has given a vote of confidence by signing a promotion contract and an exclusivity contract for the entire portfolio,” said Bjorn Hauge, country manager with Romania Invest.
