Romanian baby product retailer opens new store in Bucharest mall
Bebe Tei, a Romanian retailer of baby products, has opened a 1,750 sqm store in Plaza Romania, a mall in Western Bucharest.
The store takes up the space formerly occupied by the British fashion retailer Debenhams, which closed all of its stores in Romania at the beginning of this year.
The new store retails toys, baby furniture, strollers, car seats, and baby food. It also has in its offer bio products for both children and adults and various dermo-cosmetics.
After the baby product store, a Tei pharmacy will also open in Plaza Romania. The group also has pharmacies in the Tei and Dristor neighborhoods of Bucharest and a Bebe Tei store in Sun Plaza mall.
The Tei pharmacy chain had a turnover of RON 141 million (EUR 30.9 million) in the first six months of 2017, Ziarul Financiar reported. Bebe Tei had a turnover of RON 117 million (EUR 25.6 million) in 2016, according to the same source.
