Big drug bust: Romanian anti-organized crime prosecutors seize 12 kg of cocaine
No less than 12 kg of pure cocaine were confiscated from the Timisoara airport on Thursday, following an operation of the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT). The drugs have a value of some EUR 100,000.
The cocaine was coming from Colombia and Spain was the final destination. According to Pressalert.ro, the senders declared that the package contained hair dye.
The Police also managed to catch the leader of the Colombian drug network. According to Digi24, he told nothing to the Romanian investigators. The prosecutors held him for 24 hours and asked the court for an arrest warrant.
