Biggest waterparks near Bucharest open gates this weekend for new season
Divertiland and Waterpark, the two biggest amusement parks near Romania’s capital Bucharest, open their gates to visitors on Friday, June 12.
The Divertiland waterpark is located in western Bucharest, near the Militari neighborhood. The amusement park opened in 2013. Divertiland’s representatives expect more than 130,000 visitors this year and have planned to reach 400,000 visitors since the park’s opening, according to Dailybusiness.ro.
Divertiland has 22 waterslides, a wave pool, and a sand beach. This year, the park also opened a heated pool for children, a new food corner, and more leisure activities. It can welcome 5,000 visitors each day.
Visitors can reach Divertiland by train, by bus, or by microbus. A one-day ticket for Divertiland is RON 40 (EUR 9), during weekdays, and RON 65 (EUR 14.6), in the weekends. Tickets can also be purchased online.
Waterpark is located in northern Bucharest, in Otopeni. The amusement park has waterslides as well as other leisure facilities such as beach volley, beach football, pools and children playgrounds. The park has some 4,000 sunbeds that are free of charge.
Tickets for Waterpark cost RON 30 (EUR 6.7) during the weekdays and RON 50 (EUR 11.2) in the weekends. The park also sells subscriptions for the whole season.
