Bike paths along the Mures river to be built in Romanian city of Arad
Bikers in the Western Romanian city of Arad have been promised a 12.5 kilometers long bicycle path connecting the Micalaca bridge and the Ceala forest, along the Mures river.
The Arad city hall will pay EUR 1.5 million for the bike path, as well as for revamping the Mures river quay. The bike path will be divided between the two lanes. The project will also include 15 leisure areas, with bike parking facilities, banks and garbage bins, as well as public lighting on 2.6 kilometers.
The bid was won by three companies, Syl Contrans, Electroc Construst and Lile Service. The project will take two years to build.
