Romanian low-cost airline Blue Air could introduce two new routes from Bucharest to Tbilisi and Cairo from next year, according to the Business Environment Ministry.

Blue Air general manager Gheorghe Racaru and Romanian business environment minister Ilan Laufer discussed about introducing direct flights to Tbilisi and Cairo, as these routes are necessary to boost Romania’s economic bilateral relations with Georgia and Egypt. The Blue Air manager said that the company is willing to introduce the new routes next year and the minister assured him of the government’s support.

Romania’s exports to Egypt reached USD 378 million in the first nine months of this year. This country is Romania's second-biggest trade partner in Africa and the Middle East.
