BMW dealer in Romania ups turnover by 39%
Automobile Bavaria Group, which owns the biggest BMW dealer network in Romania, recorded a turnover of EUR 130 million last year, up 39% compared to 2015.
The company sold 1,769 new BMW cars last year, up 33% year-on-year, as well as 202 new MINI cars, up 37% year-on-year. The sales of used BMW cars reached 784, up 39% compared to 2015.
Besides that, the importer also sold 120 BMW Motorrad motorcycles, for which it is the official importer to Romania. The best-selling BMW models remained the BMW X and those in the middle class, namely X5 (328 units sold), Series 3 (254), and X1 (227).
In total, 54,200 vehicles were maintained and repaired in-house in the group’s 12 locations in Romania. Automobile Bavaria Group opened a new office in Bacau and one in Targu Mures last year.
Automobile Bavaria was founded in 1994 by local entrepreneur Michael Schmidt.
