Romanian central bank’s reserves, down for second month in a row
Romania’s National Bank (BNR) saw its foreign currency reserve decline by EUR 318 million in August, to EUR 31.06 billion.
In July, the foreign currency reserve also went down by about EUR 388 million.
In August, the foreign currency inflows amounted to EUR 837 million while the outflows totaled EUR 1.16 billion.
The gold stock remained unchanged at 103.7 tonnes. However, following the change in the international price of gold, its value amounted to EUR 3.45 billion.
Romania’s international reserves (foreign currencies and gold) thus stood at EUR 34.51 billion at the end of August.
