Boehringer Ingelheim expects EUR 23.3 mln of drug sales in Romania this year
German drug producer Boehringer Ingelheim expects the Romanian subsidiary to grow its sales by 14.6 percent this year, to around EUR 23.3 million, according to the company's general manager in Romania, Franz Zinsberger.
The company posted sales of EUR 19.2 million in the first nine months of the year in Romania. It has had issues with drug payments in Romania, which extend over a year in the country, putting pressure on cash flows. Boehringer Ingelheim has a 1.3 percent market share in Romania, according to its representatives, and hopes to reach 2.2 percent in the next three to five years.
