British Embassy in Bucharest organizes contest on environment protection
The British Embassy in Bucharest has started a contest for those passionate about protecting the environment. Participants to the contest, called "10:10 Agent", are required to send three pictures of places/things in the capital city that consume energy uselessly, along with a short caption to each photo and solutions to overcome that specific problem -in English, around four-five phrases.
The most creative Agent will receive a bicycle for a greener transport. The best 10 runner-up Agents will receive a one of a kind special gift. Their entries will also be sent to the city halls as support materials for future green projects. Applications should be sent by e-mail at pressbrit@ines.ro by December 10. More details here.
This is a contest organized by the British Embassy Bucharest to support the 10:10 global emissions reduction campaign. Any person, organisation or business is encouraged to commit to cutting 10 percent of their emissions in a 12-month period starting 2010. The campaign originated in the UK and turned global in just a few months. Romania joined the campaign this autumn. For more info visit www.1010global.org.
