Birmingham-headquartered IT group SCC plans to hire another 500 people in Romania.

The group now has over 710 employees in its offices in Iasi and Bacau, in Eastern Romania, and will reach over 1,200 by the end of this fiscal year, reports local Wall-street.ro.

SCC posted a turnover of EUR 13 million in Romania in the financial year which closed on March 31, 2015. Its pre-tax profit doubled to EUR 1.6 million.

At group level, SCC recorded revenues of EUR 1.5 billion and a pre-tax profit of EUR 35.2 million last financial year. Its profit increased by 10% compared to the previous year.

SCC Group has operations in the UK, Romania, France and Spain.
