Bucharest Ambulance Service: Over 1,200 people called the ambulance on Christmas day
Over 1,200 people have called the ambulance on Christmas day, over 640 of them being medical emergencies such as digestive problems or heart diseases, according to the Bucharest-Ilfov Ambulance Service (SABI).
A total of 1,211 calls were recorded in the last 24 hours, with 10 percent more than in a normal day, Alis Grasu, manager of SABI, told local news agency Mediafax.
For this period, the Bucharest-Ilfov Ambulance Service has 91 teams ready to intervene in case of emergency.
