Bucharest authorities to pay EUR 17 mln for new water tourist route

18 December 2014

Bucharest’s municipality will pay EUR 17 million to set up a tourist route on two of Bucharest’s largest lakes, Floreasca and Tei. The project is co-financed from EU funds and will include wharfs, bridges, amphitheatres and a multi-purpose hall, according to Mediafax newswire.

The new development also includes wooden kiosks, bike tracks, pools, playgrounds, as well as a polyvalent hall of 360 places. The developers will also have to buy rowboats, water bicycles, and a small ship.

The contract to develop the new route was granted to a group of local construction and landscaping companies made of Constructii Erbasu, Garden Center Grup, Eco Horticultura, Vega 93 and Aedillia Construct 90.
