Bucharest City Hall to vote on integrated public transport tickets for Romania's capital
Bucharest's City Hall will vote today (September 28 ) on a new proposal for integrated ticketing for the city's transport system. Outlined in the proposal are five new types of ticket, valid on the RATB (Bucharest's buses, trams and trolley buses), Metro and regional rail networks.
60 minute single tickets valid for use on the RATB and Metro networks priced at RON 10 and a ten-trip multiple ticket are proposed, as well as a one day RATB and Metro ticket valid for an unlimited number of journeys in a 24 hour period, priced at RON 16. Two new 90 minute single tickets valid on the urban railway network are also proposed. The first is valid for trains and the RATB network and costs RON 5, the second also includes the Metro, priced at RON 7.
