Bucharest district mayor plays the piano during public event
One of Bucharest District mayors recently played the piano in front of the public at the inauguration of a local promenade area.
Robert Negoita, the Bucharest Third District mayor, played Bach’s Cantata 147 and Beethoven’s Fur Elise on piano last weekend. His performance took place during an event to inaugurate the promenade on Unirii boulevard.
The mayor said it was the first time in 15 years that he played the piano in front of an audience. The mayor opened the concert for Ovidiu Lipan Ţăndărică, Marius Mihalache and jazz interpreter Irina Sârbu. The concert is part of a series of events called Arts on the street, organized by the district city hall in the newly opened promenade area.
Negoita is a politician, part of the Social Democratic Party PSD, as well as a businessman. Together with his brother Ionut Negoita, he owns Confort Group, including the Rin Grand Hotel in Bucharest and the water park in Otopeni.
