09 June 2023

Twenty-one bands from 18 countries will go on stage at the 17th edition of the Bucharest International Jazz Competition, scheduled to start on July 8. Until July 14, the event, ranked by the BBC in the top 3 worldwide, brings to the Romanian capital quality jazz from the world's most famous music markets.

Artists from South Africa, Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, the US, and Ukraine will perform at the event this year.

"We can't wait to meet the Bucharest public again in a special location, the Auditorium Hall of the Royal Palace, within the National Art Museum of Romania. I'm just telling you this, we have jazz enough for three festivals," said competition director Luigi Gageos.

The event integrates jazz concerts, the competition, jam sessions, and workshops. Further details are available here.
