Bucharest National Opera holds open recruitment session for ballet dancers
The National Opera in Bucharest is looking to add three dancers to its ballet for the current season. The recruitment session will take place on March 26, at the Opera's headquarters, from 14:30. The dancers will support existing shows, as well as the premiere of ' Don Quixote', scheduled for April 29.
Candidates can submit applications by email or post. They should send their CV and, if possible, recordings of their performances of known pieces. The National Opera's webpage here.
The National Opera's Ballet was established by Anton Romanovski in 1924. The ballet now has over 50 performers and is led by first dancer Alin Gheorghiu.
The ballet's current repertoire includes the 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs', 'Baiadera', 'Cinderella', 'The Corsaire', 'Sleeping beauty', 'Giselle' and 'The Nutcracker', among others.
