Bucharest ranks among cheapest cities for hotel services in Europe

Bucharest is among the cheapest markets for hotel services in Europe, found a recent study by hotel.info booking site. Bucharest ranks 18th of the 20 analysed markets, with a rate of EUR 81.9 in November 2011, up 16 percent year-on-year. Even if it is among the cheapest cities, Bucharest displayed the highest year-on-year increase in hotel rates.

The most expensive hotel market is Moscow with EUR 183, followed by Oslo – EUR 170 and London – EUR 159. The price of a hotel room went up in most cities analyzed by hotel.info. The largest year-on-year increase occurred in Bucharest – 16 percent, while the biggest drop in hotel pricing was in Tirana – down 17 percent.

Worldwide, New York is the most expensive, with a hotel rate of EUR 208. The cheapest is Istanbul, with EUR 89 per hotel room a night.
