Bucharest ranks last in Europe for construction costs, according to a worldwide ranking made by Dutch consultancy Arcadis.
Construction costs in Bucharest are 60% lower than in London, which is the most expensive city in the EU.
Raising a building in Bucharest is cheaper than in Sofia, Sarajevo, Belgrade, and Prague, reports local Profit.ro. Romania’s capital is also the sixth cheapest market worldwide for constructions, after Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Bangkok (Thailand), Bangalore (India) and Taipei (Taiwan).
London, Geneva, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Frankfurt, Paris, Vienna, Brussels, Milan, and Amsterdam are the most expensive cities in Europe for constructions.
