Bucharest ranks second among Europe’s 'coolest' cities
Bucharest ranks second among Europe’s 'coolest' cities, according to a top published by the online magazine slate.fr. The coolest city was chosen using several criteria, such as the price of beer, the number of students in the city and the number of neighborhoods where tourists and residents can have fun.
A total number of 11 variables were taken into account when making this ranking, including the quality of night transport. In the end the authors made two rankings – one that assigned equal weight to all criteria and a second one assigning a higher weight of 20 percent to the accommodation. In the first one, Lisbon ranked first, but in the second ranking, Warsaw was the capital city that came first. However, in both rankings, Romania came second.
