If you want to celebrate the new year 2017 in the streets, the Bucharest Selfie (Selfie de Bucuresti) party is the place to go. The party, which is organized by the Bucharest City Hall, takes place in the George Enescu square, in front of the Romanian Athenaeum and the Athenee Palace Hilton hotel.

Some 50,000 people are expected to join the event, which features live music and big screens, where the participants can project the selfies they take at the party. Fireworks will mark the passing into 2017.

The party starts at 17:00 and ends at 1:00 in 2017. Entry is free. Some of the most famous Romanian artists will entertain the crowd. The lineup includes Stefan Banica Jr., Loredana, Vunk, Voltaj, Pepe, Mihail, Holograf, Delia. Hip-hop band B.U.G. Mafia will end the show. More details here.

The Bucharest District 3 City Hall also organizes a New Year’s Eve party in the IOR Park (Titan). The party starts at 19:30 and features several Romanian artists. The entry to this event is also free.
