Bucharest urban fest Street Delivery kicks off this June
This year’s edition of Street Delivery, an event aiming to recover public space for pedestrians, takes place in Bucharest between June 9 and June 11.
It takes place on the Pictor Arthur Verona street, which will become a space exclusively for pedestrian for the duration of the event.
The theme of this year’s edition is “Possible Gardens,” and the organizers have launched a call for projects “that propose ways in which the area around Arthur Verona street can be turned into a garden of projects, an improbable green oasis of Bucharest,” the organizers say. Another aim is to come up with a cultural-pedestrian track that would make crossing Bucharest on foot less of a daunting task.
Street Delivery was established in 2006 by Cărtureşti Foundation and the Order of Romanian Architects.
This year, Street Delivery also takes place in several other cities in the country and Moldova: Timişoara, Iaşi, Cluj-Napoca, Baia Mare, Bacău, Galaţi, Arad, and Chişinău
