Bucharest City Hall starts giving vouchers for bikes
The Bucharest City Hall published on Monday the rules for granting vouchers for bike acquisition to those living in Bucharest.
The municipality will give 5,000 vouchers worth RON 500 (EUR 109.5) that can be used to buy simple or electric bikes, as well as scooters or Segway or Ninebot devices. The vouchers will be granted to the first 5,000 people who fill in the registration form and submit it at the Bucharest City Hall.
The City Hall announced later in the afternoon that people can also send the forms by email, due to the high number of people who waited in front of the City Hall to submit the form.
Voucher receivers need to live in Bucharest, be over 18 and are not allowed to work in the Bucharest City Hall or the subordinated institutions. People can submit the registration forms until August 10.
If the product’s value is higher than the voucher, the person will pay the difference. If it’s lower, the participant can acquire other devices, such as helmets, lighting and signaling devices, buzzers, and cyclo-computers.
